Our Values
The Ballotpedia Candidate Connection Survey is a questionnaire that candidates for public office are invited to complete and submit directly to Ballotpedia. Its purpose is to give voters more detailed, personal, and issue-specific information about who the candidates are, why they’re running, and how they think about public policy.

Running for a ward seat can be complicated, but the reasons for running should be clear and easy to understand. Voters deserve to know who their candidates are and the principles guiding them. These are my three key priorities.

Infrastructure: Ward 9 needs strong, walkable neighborhoods with attention to lighting, safety, and responsible development that balances existing residents with smart growth.​

Experience: Real-world small business experience provides practical understanding of budgets, regulation, and economic realities that affect local employers, workers, and residents.​

Transparency and Relationships: Collaborative, solutions-focused leadership that supports Charleston’s progress while improving execution, communication, and transparent use of city resources.
